Community Policing
The Prineville Police Department is committed to providing excellent service through the community policing philosophy and through partnerships with both citizens and community leaders alike.
Community Service Officers assist sworn officers at crime scenes, assist with investigations of criminal, civil, code, and city ordinances. Preserve, protects, and transports evidence. Responds to and investigates animal offenses. Responds to and assists with traffic collisions and other lower priority calls.
Community Service Officers act as a liaison between the community and the police department. Participates in community events such as parades and fairs. Conducts vacation and business checks. Assist with neighborhood watch and other crime prevention programs.
