Prineville Police Department Adds Troy Wiles
The Prineville Police Department is pleased to announce that it recently hired Troy Wiles as a new Patrol Officer.
A long time Prineville resident, Wiles moved to Prineville in 1998 and has many years of experience in law enforcement. He started with the Crook County Sheriff’s Office in 1999 and served as a reserve deputy, tech deputy, patrol deputy, detective and SWAT member. Wiles moved to the Bend Police Department in 2006 where he served as a patrol officer, SWAT member and Patrol Corporal.
Shifting his career back to Prineville, Wiles is happy to be working again in his home community.
“I chose to bring my career back to Prineville because I have always loved the people and culture of the area. I’m married with two boys who are active with sports and rodeo. I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to serve my community as a police officer in my home town,” said Wiles.
Wiles holds an advanced certificate with Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST.) Throughout his career he has been active with several areas of law enforcement training in Central Oregon.
“Having Troy’s years of experience and training is a real benefit to our team. Not only is he well-respected in law enforcement, he’s also a well-respected member of the community,” said Police Chief Dale Cummins.
