City Manager
Steve Forrester has been the City Manager since June 1, 2009.
Steve was raised in Prineville, attended Crook County Schools, graduating from CCHS in 1978. He went on to earn his Associate degree in business from COCC in 1980, and then graduated from Oregon State University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Forest Products.
Steve spent 25 years in the Forest Products Industry, serving as a General Manager of Facilities in Redmond Oregon, Lakeview Oregon, White City Oregon, and Prineville Oregon.
Steve has been active for years in the community, serving on the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Board, Community Bank Board, Crooked River Round up Board, Crook County Budget Committee, Crook County School District Facility Committee, EDCO Board, and recently served a board term with the League of Oregon Cities.
Steve and his wife Kim have four children all raised in Prineville. Kim has owned and operated Subway franchises in Prineville and LaPine for over 20 years. And the family also enjoys operating a hay farm west of Prineville.
